He is the controller of the personal data handled through the website and the bookings. This information is provided under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 and Law 34/2002 on information society services (LSSI).
Bookings, payments and contract
What data: name and surname, email, phone, the dates and people of the stay, any comments you leave, payment notices and proofs and, for the contract and the invoice, ID document and address. Also your signature on the contract.
What for: managing the booking, taking payment, sending you the stay emails (confirmation, reminders, arrival and review request), signing the contract and invoicing.
Legal basis: performing the contract you ask for (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and, for invoicing, tax obligations (art. 6.1.c).
For how long: while the booking lasts and, afterwards, for the period in which liability may be claimed and the one required by tax law, 6 years at most. The key code is deleted when the stay ends. If the booking is left without the deposit, we remind you once that it is unfinished, it is cancelled after 7 days and its personal data are deleted 6 months later.
Guest register
What data: for each guest, name and surname, sex, date of birth, nationality, ID document, address, phone or email, relationship with any minors and signature.
What for: meeting the legal duty to register guests and report them to the Spanish Ministry of the Interior through SES.HOSPEDAJES.
Legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR; Organic Law 4/2015 on public safety and Royal Decree 933/2021). That is why consent is not requested: the data are required in order to stay.
Recipient: the Ministry of the Interior. For how long: 3 years from check-out, as Royal Decree 933/2021 requires.
Minors’ data are provided by the adult accompanying them.
Newsletter
If you sign up at the bottom of the website or when booking, we use your email to tell you about free dates and offers, a few times a year.
Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR). On the website it is confirmed through a link we email you. For how long: until you unsubscribe, with the link in any email or by writing to us. If you do not confirm, we do not write to you.
Quotes, contact and website security
When you choose dates and guests, we keep that query with the IP address and browser to calculate the price on the server, prevent abuse and see which dates are most searched and from which countries. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we use what you tell us to reply.
If you join the waiting list for dates that are taken, we also keep your email address and the maximum price you tell us, only to let you know if those dates free up. That is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) and you can ask us to delete it whenever you like.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the website securely and improving it (art. 6.1.f GDPR) and, to reply to you, your own request. For how long: for queries that do not become a booking, the IP address and browser are deleted after 2 years; the dates and number of people are kept with nothing that identifies you, for statistics. Messages, as long as needed to help you.
What you type in “Ask the house” is sent to Anthropic, which processes it with its Claude model to write the answer and does not use it for training. The assistant remembers the conversation if you come back within 2 days of your last question, thanks to the assistant cookie; “Start over” deletes it straight away. Otherwise we keep the conversation for 90 days, without your IP address or browser, to see what questions you have and improve the answers, and then it is deleted. Please do not type personal details in the chat: to book, you leave them under “Your details”.
Cookies
We only use third-party cookies if you accept them in the notice, and you can change your choice at any time from “Cookies” at the bottom of the website.
- Necessary (no consent needed, because the website does not work without them):
cookieConsent, which remembers your choice for 6 months, the session cookie, which protects forms and is deleted when you close the browser, and, only if you use “Ask the house”,assistant, which lets it remember the conversation for 2 days after your last question. The browser also keeps on your device, not in cookies, the stay you are planning and the language you choose. - Measurement and advertising (only if you accept): Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*, up to 2 years) to count visits in aggregate, and Google Ads (_gcl_au, 90 days) to know whether an ad leads to a visit. They are set by Google, which may process the data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The weather in the booking window is requested from Open-Meteo by your browser: it uses no cookies, but Open-Meteo receives your IP address in order to reply.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or give away your data. It is only received by the Ministry of the Interior (guest register), the Spanish Tax Agency when applicable and the providers we need to run the website, under data processing agreements:
- Heroku (Salesforce), which hosts the website, with servers in the United States and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses,
- Amazon Web Services, which stores contracts, payment proofs and documents in the European Union (Paris),
- Google, for sending email and, if you accept them, the measurement cookies,
- Anthropic, in the United States, under standard contractual clauses, which processes what you type in “Ask the house” with its Claude model to write the answer and does not use it for training,
- IPinfo, in the United States, which tells us from the IP address of price queries which country and city they come from,
- your bank and ours, for payments by Bizum or bank transfer.
If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also handled by Meta under its own terms.
Your rights
You can ask to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, take it to another service and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was processed before. Write to info@casa-amparo.com saying what you need; if we cannot tell it is you, we will ask you to prove it.
Some data cannot be erased while the law requires us to keep it, such as the guest register or invoices.
If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
We protect the data with appropriate security measures: encrypted connections, restricted access and privately stored documents. The website makes no automated decisions about you.
