The owner

My grandmother’s house

I’m Adolfo. My grandmother lived in this house, my mother grew up in it and I spent the summers of my childhood here. In 2008 I renovated it to open it again.

The story

From village home to open house

I want the house not to be forgotten, and for others to live here what I lived.

  1. In the beginning

    Grandmother’s house

My grandmother was from Alcoleja and lived in this house, where my mother spent her childhood. Later the family moved to Alcoy, where I was born.

  2. The summers

    Holidays in the village

Over time it became the family’s summer holiday home. I spent many summers here as a child, and I have wonderful memories of them.

  3. Afterwards

    Years closed

As so often happens, over the years we stopped coming and the house fell out of use.

  4. 2008

    The renovation

I inherited the house, already somewhat run down, and decided to renovate it to open it again. I kept everything original I could, with respect for the past, so it would have the style and warmth it once had.

  5. Today

    A house to share

I open it so that families and groups of friends can enjoy unforgettable moments surrounded by nature, the way I remember them.

What was kept

Things with history

The renovation respected the old furniture: the hallway mirror, the wooden wardrobes, the chest of drawers and the door to the patio.

  • The original hallway mirror
  • The original wardrobe, by the balcony
  • The bedroom chest of drawers
  • The door to the pool patio
  • The original wardrobe
